Finally this week we got to meet Holden's little sister, Pheobe. Who turns out to be almost the EXACT opposite of Holden. I see Pheobe as Mature, Smart, and Organized and someone who actually cares about how Holden does in life. I think Pheobe is someone Holden needs in life and maybe he'll be on a better track (:

Prostitutes.

I personally think the reason that holden didn't have sex with the prostitute is because he really is trying to hold on to jane. and also because he starts to realize that sex is actually something more important and doesn't just want to waste his time and also his money on the prostitute

Fishes vs. Ducks (:

In chapter 14 Holden once again asks the Taxicab driver about where the ducks go in the winter, and the driver avoids that question and starts talking about how the fish stay. i think there is a relation between these because they both reflect holden's life, because the fish are stuck but the ducks are free. right now holden is stuck between alot of things but he wants to be like the ducks and be free.

This was really cheesy (: haha.

So, in chapter 11 (i think) we got to feel alot about how Holden really feels about Jane, and even though he never really told her how he felt about her, he really expressed it. It made me wander the whole time i was reading if Jane could tell he liked her, and if she did then why she never told him anything about she felt! I also wandered if when she was with Stradlater if she thought about Holden and compared then, because to her Holden is ALOTT better of a guy. He's someone who actually cares if she's okay or not.

Week 2. Blog numero Uno. (:

I have come to the conclusion that Holden is very insecure, and that's pretty obvious. I think that because of the way he lies to people about dumb things and doesn't show anyone his real self, he always lies to people so that they don't know the real him. I think he does this because he knows that he has problems that if people found out about him he'd be embarrassed and i understand that, because at some time everyone feels like that..Holden just so happens to feel like that all the time.

Childhood vs. Adulthood.

I think that Holden is very childish, mainly because he doesn't know what decisions he needs to make to be more grown up, and also because he always lies, and doesn't express his feelings very well. In this reading Holden tries to act more "Adultish" then he really is when he tries to get with the older woman, and when he tries to drink. Also Holden isn't "man" enough to just fess up to his parents that he failed out of school.
In my life i think that i am a mix between both of them, mainly because i have a lot of responsibilities and my mom pressures me to make sure that i make the right decisions, and most of the time i do. I want these responsibilities because it will make me more independent and will give me more freedoms.
examples of how i am an "adult" i got a job the day after i got my license..then i started paying my phone bill.

After reading chapter eight, Holden completely confuses me. I don't understand why Holden wouldn't just tell the lady that he was going home because he was kicked out of pency, and that he wasn't really getting surgery for a brain tumor! i also don't get why if he always talks about being so loney why he turned down seeing both Ernest, and Sally.
